This is us on the way to the actual wooded area.

Here is Bethany, loving nature

This is me crossing a river that we found.

Here is Bethany crossing the river on the way home.
So this is what happened. I've been wanting to hike and Bethany is usually very opposed to hiking and so i woke her up really early and took her out to the wilderness before she could realize what was happening. We went to Mt. Nebo. At first i thought it was going to be really lame since it was all concrete and really steep and horrible. But it turns out that's just the road you take to get to the wilderness part. on the way we saw some deer. I was looking for some biting goats or wild beasts but we didn't see any. probably for the best since i didn't pack any heat.
So we got there and none of the trails were very well marked so we just picked a place that looked like a trail and went off on an adventure. First it took us down hill a lot and then we walked by a river for a long time. it was really pretty. then we came to the raging river. it was raging because I insulted it. jk. it's because the snow was melting. So we crossed it and went just a little bit farther. We never made it to the lake because the snow became pretty serious. So we played in a stream for a little bit and then hiked back.
One of the coolest parts of the trip was there was another lake that was next to some camp sites that you didn't have to hike to. The water was so clear and you could see a TON of fish. Anyone want to go fishing there with me sometime this summer?
Stay tuned for a sick update about my internship in Ogden, UT and how i ride a tricycle at work.
