Everything is great! Everything is Grand!
It's been quite a while since i've posted an update and so I decided to fill you in on a few things that have been keeping me busy and enlightened since my past entry
1. I still love animals. I love them a lot. my new favorite animal is the honey badger. That thing will dominate anything that crosses it's path. This thing is intense. One of my friends says that it's dangerous because of it's floppy skin. That's weird.
2. Narwhals are also awesome. AND REAL!
3. I have 6 finals this week. I had several projects due last week that I had been working on in groups since the beginning of the semester. It was stressful times. I'm less worried about finals than i was about finishing those projects.
4. I want to be a dairy man. I want to make your dairy. I want to see millions of gallons of milk and it's byproducts every day. Heard of darigold? I'm hoping to get a job with them so we might be moving to the pacific north west this summer?
5. We bought a TV on black friday and it is distracting. I have three shows that i love and i will watch them anytime. Phineas and Ferb, Burn Notice, and How I met your mother. Seriously hilarious and awesome.
6. I saw the muppet movie. It was hilarious and uplifting. If you've heard bad things about it, then you should tell those naysayers to repent. This movie will alter you. i'm not going to say how
7. My friends have been fantastic. They are always helping us out when we are in a bind. Seriously, I feel like I couldn't have been put in a better freshman ward because that's where I met all my best friends. I'm bummed that we are all graduating soon and are heading in separate directions, but we are going to just have to get together at hotel Del often enough to keep it real.
Well that is my update mostly. I'm studying for finals in the library and i'm sitting by a cold window. It's so chilly i don't know what to do. i probably just need a snuggie.

This is...

This is why. Lately i've been full of regrets. I regret not doing better at school when i was a freshman. i regret not doing btter at school when i got home from my mission. I regret not knowing how to ask for help when i was trying to figure out college stuff. So basically i was full of school related regrets. school regrets ahoy. Anyway i just recently decided to make the best of my situation. Now i'm stuck
Should i apply to grad school or just get a job? I don't know
in other news I seriously love books. Inheritance. Percy Jackson. matched. if you haven't heard of matched, it's a decent read. especially if you have the itch to read and you are waiting for the next book you want to read to come out. anyway.

Cause Baby I'm a Thug!
I had a companion that would always say that. He was pretty neat
Here's the real reason why i'm posting this post of posts. Well there are two reasons. Two posting possibilities piled pleasingly. ok i'm rambling.
The first thing is that i'm applying for jobs for that faithful day that I graduate. I'm not going to mention where so that i can keep a competitive advantage. By competitive advantage i mean the less people that know about it the better my chances are, right? But i will give you a hint. *you aren't considered a convict if you were in agriculture* ok but that's enough. if you can figure out that cleverly coded conundrum then you deserve the job more than i do.
the second thing involves me being more social. i'm a tweeter now. I am twittering consistently. not constantly though.. total twitter totalitarianism today. you can follow me @dilfal
also i've been enjoying alliteration today.

humanity

it is my least favorite class. by far. i'm a human. why do i have to learn about humanities. i would rather just take a class on manatees. seacows.
In other news, does anyone have a tv that i can watch the BYU v. Utah game on? It's important

That is pretty gross
I'm just going to come right out and say it. You are gross. I have evidence

I'm sure most of you women recognize this device. I call it the tampon box. I ha
ve cleaned bathrooms for over a year and have dealt with my fare share of these contraptions. Sometimes something happens when i'm changing these that is grosser than what is normally the gross thing that happens in here.

This is a kids cliff bar wrapper. Who is using the toilet while eating this? I have also found ice cream wrappers and chip bags. This is gross. I just wanted you to know.

Some Summer
I'm lazy
Duh
So this past summer i've been interning at a cookie company and having the time of my life with my wife. Today is the last real day of summer for me i feel like. Bethany has been working like a mad woman and it's my last day at Lofthouse. It's a sad thing. Monday will come and I will have nothing to do. ( I mean Bethany will have a list about a mile long of things she wants me to do but really i'll have nothing to do) So now i will fill you in on some of my personal feeling about this summer. There will be no pictures involved, so if you are a true fan of this so-called blog then you will grin and bare it. Next time i will poast a lot of pictures but it's only for the people who read this post before hand.
Summer Reflections by Dilbin Fallorallon <- (that's my penname)
- Working is good becuase you get money. Working fulltime for a midsize company is great because you get a lot more money then working as a custodian
- We got a new Bishop. Our old one was nice, but i like our new one too. This ward is different than my other wards becasue their are like 4 former bishops in it and they were all for the same ward
- We've been in our ward for about a year and we finally made some friends in it. We tried pretty hard at first but then became discouraged. We almost went to a different one but then we became pre-sunbeams (senior nursery) teachers and it's changed a lot of our thoughts about the ward. We look forward to church and we hope that we can hang out with some of the people that are beginning to be friends with, even though we have 0 babies/children
- Bread is tasty. So tasty that I want to work for a bread company next summer. I hope that i get the chance. I'm obsessed with making it at home. Artisan style. If you want some let me know because i've been making them for fun now. the main problem with my excessive baking is that i'm thinking about switching to a high protein diet on account of i love protein!
- I love to travel. Buy me a plane ticket. If you are reading this then you are legally obligated to buy me a plane ticket. It doesn't matter where, as long as it's for a weekend. I'm a busy guy
- i'm sort of rambling at this point
- My wife loves to text me the word Crayon. i'm a big fan
- Bethany and I decided that I should graduate a semester early. What a good time that is going to be for everyone involved. Basically i'm taking extra classes this fall and winter and then i'm gong to be doing some independent courses next summer while i'm interning somewhere so i can graduate august 2012 instead of december 2012.
That's basically my list of reflections from the summer. I'm sure bethany can think of more things that i should say but i'm not really much of a thinker.

WELL WELL WELLLLL
and we're back! The first thing i'm going to write about it how bethany and I are SICK hikers. Not really. but we like to pretend. here are some photos for your viewing pleasure...

This is us on the way to the actual wooded area.

Here is Bethany, loving nature

This is me crossing a river that we found.

Here is Bethany crossing the river on the way home.
So this is what happened. I've been wanting to hike and Bethany is usually very opposed to hiking and so i woke her up really early and took her out to the wilderness before she could realize what was happening. We went to Mt. Nebo. At first i thought it was going to be really lame since it was all concrete and really steep and horrible. But it turns out that's just the road you take to get to the wilderness part. on the way we saw some deer. I was looking for some biting goats or wild beasts but we didn't see any. probably for the best since i didn't pack any heat.
So we got there and none of the trails were very well marked so we just picked a place that looked like a trail and went off on an adventure. First it took us down hill a lot and then we walked by a river for a long time. it was really pretty. then we came to the raging river. it was raging because I insulted it. jk. it's because the snow was melting. So we crossed it and went just a little bit farther. We never made it to the lake because the snow became pretty serious. So we played in a stream for a little bit and then hiked back.
One of the coolest parts of the trip was there was another lake that was next to some camp sites that you didn't have to hike to. The water was so clear and you could see a TON of fish. Anyone want to go fishing there with me sometime this summer?
Stay tuned for a sick update about my internship in Ogden, UT and how i ride a tricycle at work.

Take your time coming home
I'm on vacation. It has been fun so far. Yesterday bethany and I drove to st. george just to get away. We went to this place called mad pita express. Frickin awesome. Today is saturday and we are going to vegas to see the sights and to get some b dub dubs. So long story short, I should have a lot to blog about in a few days including: this vacation; hiking; my internship; and much much more!

the Fifth of mayo
Let me tell you. my life has become pretty boring since tuesday. Yeah yeah, i know it's thursday and there hasn't been much time. That's really saying something though. It hasn't even been two complete days and i'm bored out of my dome piece. Ridiculous. That's my middle name.
but i digress
in other news i've been thinking of a lot of names lately. Do you like the name Boyd? I've become slightly obsessed with it since i have no other things to do. give me your opinions.

Life has thrown me some curve balls...
So my internship was supposed to start on June 20th. I thought that was weird since then i would only be working like half of the summer. In lieu of this predicament i decided to take some spring classes. Bless my heart I was even actually beginning to enjoy the classes since they were so easy and i was going to get a rock solid A! I even have Dave Miz in one of my classes and he is as solid as you can get, what with his chiseled physique and dark eyes. Anyway long story short I dropped all of my classes today on account of the internship manager at Ralcorp decided to switch it up and so I start on or around may 16th!
What's up, driving an hour and a half to work for three weeks until we can move to our housing in ogden? What's up many dollars? We are severely blessed because of this news since i was unemployed and now i'm not anymore. Also i can have a small vacation from work and school before doing anything. it's pretty nice. anyway... big gulps.

it's because i'm now a slight expert on it since i had to write a sick paper about it.
in other news, elephantiasis is sick chubs.
lastly i'm almost done with the semester!!!! we saw Natalie and Kenny's baby and she is cute. she had a bow that i enjoyed. anyway i'm just getting distracted.

The Basilisk
If we were on a plane we would get arrested because she is so lethally awesome. She fulfilled my deepest wish to obtain a netbook. I got a Toshiba and named it the Basilisk. this is one picture from the built in webcam

In other news my internship has changed from being all Research and development to being a month of Quality assurance or operational stuff and then a month of R&D. I'm slightly frustrated because i will hate my life if i'm in QA for another month. It's just a very boring aspect of the industry. I suppose it's a necessary evil but i just don't want it to have to be me. But i am still way grateful to even have an internship so hopefully it will go pretty well. Since my internship doesn't start until late June i decided that i am going to go to spring term at BYU. So i'm taking PDBio, humanities, and business classes. i'm pretty stoked because this should launch me into either a part time semester for my last fall in a year and a half or it will allow me to take more fun classes during my last semester.
In other news, i'm getting at least an A minus in my Finance class. No matter what. That is the highest grade i've ever gotten in a non-religion class. I'm a little pathetic probably but i'm stoked. Also i hate microbiology still.
I decided that i need to get good at something on my own. Like get a how to book and work on it for like an hour a day. Any ideas on something that would be good? I'm thinking of something along the lines of plumbing, furniture building, or computer programming.
ok. that was boring

Big Gulps?
So the news is in. I had a good little roll of blogging and then i fell out of my groove. So this is how Dillon got his groove back. But i'm not really going to explain the how at all. Just some various updates.
1. Emily had her baby. It's a boy and I've held it a few times. He is nice. He cries when he has a dirty diaper, which surprised me slightly. Maybe this is too much information but my mom told me that when i had a dirty diaper i didn't care. I almost even liked it? Anyway I held him and he cried. I guess i just help babies poop?
2. The weather is dumb. It is either way nice or way cold and chilly out. But rarely is it the same two days in a row and it is frustrating. I feel like i keep getting sick so i'm trying not to train outside on the days when it's way cold because of the tiredness of my body combined with the cold makes my body susceptible to microbial organisms attacking me.
3. My wife is always sick and so i'm getting slightly sick
4. I'm doing really well in school believe it or not and so this is probably going to be the best semester i've had as far as grades go. Whoop-de-twang.
5. I saw yogi bear the movie and i liked it.

Peanut butter bike

I haven't named it yet but i'm taking suggestions. possible the black mamba. The previous owner, who goes to westminster, gave it a bad paint job. It is a Specialized Allez and i'm a fan.
Now here is a picture of what I do at my job.

This peanut butter was taken out of the jar by me. I spread it around and then look at it to see if it has defects in it.

Seriously getting serious
This has been my semester to the extreme! I'm doing well in all of my classes for the first time in my college career and I'm dominating the health thing. To add to my seriousness of being serious I decided it was time for me to become more clean and organized. In order to accomplish this I have become a serious google calender-er. School, work, and even triathlon training are now completely scheduled to allow for maximum efficiency.
Also a dishwasher has joined our midst.
so all in all i'm organized. Any tips on getting further organized?
lastly but not leastly, my bffande (best friend forever and ever) todd hollingworth is on his way to p-tizzle and we are going to get jacked out of our dome. I'm pretty stoked about this nonsense

So fetching
WELL WELL WELL! I am going to recommend something to everyone out there right now. Get excited! that was the recommendation. Get excited about something in your life because it is the greatest thing you can do. It helps you to become positive and motivated.
example. I'm so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so excited about doing a triathlon. I'm nervous as heck but i haven't been this motivated to work hard in the gym and at eating right in a long long while. That is my advice.
The real reason why I am writing this blog is to talk about our neighbors. They are nice. But i really don't love them, and i'll tell you why. They love music, and think that they are music guru's when in reality all i ever hear is bad techno and the all american rejects coming from their speakers. I know that this is what they listen to because their speakers are conveniently located on the other side of our paper thin bedroom wall. Did i mention that they like to start playing their music at 10 p.m.? did i mention that they really enjoy singing really loudly while they listen to their music? well they like to do both of those things. So today i took a video of the wife singing some all american rejects. i hope you enjoy it.

I am ridiculous

It's the Giant Defy 1. I'm pretty stoked. I'm SO stoked that i decided to share it with the world. what do you think?
Holler back girl

It was something like this. It was on sale for 2 grand. Obviously I was in love but it's too expensive.
This post is boring
The point is i'm having fun. I'm going to start riding a lot more often. Anyone want to go with me?

Babies
I held my friend Shintaro's baby. He is two months old and the cutest japanese baby i've ever held. I mean he's the only one i've ever held.
So now Bethany and I are watching a movie
it show's african women licking their babies while the babies lick bones. it also shows a mongolian baby peeing while hanging out with a rooster. it's a freakin weird movie.

First day
So today was the first day of my new lifestyle. Basically it's hard. for whatever reason i was starving today. I had rice krispies for breakfast at like 6:30 this morning and by 8:30 i was starving so i ate my roast beef sandwich. Can i make it the rest of the day without snacking? well not the rest of the day but until dinner? only time will tell.
also if you have an ipod touch or an iphone or an android device download words with friends and play scrabble against me. I'm taking to you David McCleve. and anyone else interested. my username is DilFal

Let's all admit it...

Look at that complexion. Those spelling skills. The receding hairline. how good i look in yellow. The problem with me is that I lack self control. I'm a failure at self control. If I could wish for anything it would be to have more self control. here is the reason why:

This was me the sunday after my mission was over.

This is me one the first sunday in our family ward.
You might not be able to tell but the difference in these photos is almost 30 lbs. When i got to BYU I weighed at least 315 lbs. when I got home from my mission i was 235. it was the best feeling in the world. I had energy, it was easier to fit in clothes, life was good. Well i got complacent and gained weight. I was at 260. I dabbled in dieting and i exercised regularly. One of my companions would even train me at the gym. But thats when we come back to the problem of self control. I lose it. I eat and eat and eat. I can honestly say that i almost always feel hungry. So it's a struggle.
You might be wondering why i'm writing about this. Well I was just watching the Cosby show (my favorite) on netflix and taped onto the corner of my tv is a little sign i made for myself that

So it has my objective and my goal. To lose weight and to weight 200 lbs. I got idea from Elissa Mccullough when she made one for her tv but it was about stretching. so long story short, i'm trying to lose this weight. So if you see me you should ask me how i'm doing on my goal. keep me accountable. Also if you have any ideas to improve self control, shout them out to me. no dieting advice, please. I'm making a life style change. No more dieting, it's time for just plain old portion control and controlling my life.
i want a soft boiled egg

The Gym

this is 24 Hour Fitness.
I was there this morning at 4:45 am. There are a lot of reasons why i go to the gym.
1. This is the most important reason. I'm fat! yeah, that's right kory. I need to lose some weight so i'm working on it. I go and I run and sweat and lift and hope to lose the weight. The only reason why it's a hope is because i need to work on my eating habits...
2. The gym makes you feel good. Not just because of endorphins or whatever, but when you tell someone you are going to the gym you just feel good about yourself. Like, "yeah i'm going to go improve my physique" or "i'm really into being sweaty and watching sports" it's not that i think i'm better than other people because of it, but i think others thing i'm better because of it.
3. Pullups. i can't do them but i want to be able to. so i practice a lot. can you imagine a 250 lb, out of shape guy doing pullups? sounds sick to me
4. Hanging out with the guys. Some of the best friends i've ever made were from my mission. Everyone form my mission loved to workout so if i ever want to hangout with a bunch of them i can go to the gym and i know at least one will be there. (mostly because he works there)
5. the last reason, and possibly the most ridiculous, is using terminology like swoll/swole. urbandictionary.com defines swoll as "swollen, as in getting swollen or buff at the gym" you are only allowed to use lingo like that if you actually have gotten swoll.
i love being swoll

Tests

First: I passed my microbiology test. It was slightly brutal, but before i went in i said hello to elise davis and that helped.
Second: I stayed awake all day
Third: I failed at going to the gym all day today.
Fourth: I GOT THE INTERNSHIP. Believe that! I'm going to make cookies that the whole country will eat. It's at Lofthouse cookies doing product development in Ogden, UT. HOORAY! so if you want some sweet cookies, ask me for some. Maybe i'll beer you some.

The Car
when I say handy I mean that i think I can fix thing
s. When i was a younger man I would help my dad fix the car or solder pipes in our basement. We built an entertainment set and I even helped him pave a driveway. The thing is that my wife doesn't really have very much confidence in me when it comes to me fixing things. it's honestly a shame. So when the car wouldn't start Saturday night i decided that i would prove that i could fix it.

So i went about the work of trying to fix it. I thought it was the spark plugs but i was wrong. So a guy Bethany works with came over and suggested that it was the starter. I spent the next hour taking it out then going to Autozone to have it tested. They said it was fine. I gave up! i could not fix the car. I was screwed. so i had it brought into the mechanic feeling defeated and forlorn.
well i just got a call from the mechanic and they said it was the starter and autozone is a bunch of idiots. I WIN!

I like dinosaurs
Who doesn't like dinosaurs? let's be honest with the world. If dinosaurs were still around everybody would really be better off. Here are a few reasons why dinosaurs would help us be better people in general.
1: Construction
Look how great that is. Imagine how much pollution would go away if we had dinosaurs helping us with our construction. Also, dinosaurs are fun to ride i'm assuming.
2:Food
Doesn't that look good. I love ribs. I wish that many ribs came with my order when i ordered ribs.
3:Pets. let's have a comparison

Hope Floats
just for the record, i hated it. I mean I don't enjoy crying. I'm not saying that i did cry during this movie, but i definitely wanted to. Her husband tell
s her about his affair on national TV with his 6 year old daughter in the audience. She moves to Texas, and her daughter is hating life and gets beaten up
by a fat girl. Her nephew's mother abandoned him at his grandmothers house and he's so sad. then when you don't think it could get worse, the grandmother dies, the father comes back to break his daughters heart, and i forgot, the grandpa has Alzheimer. Then it's supposed to be a happy ending because she gets a boyfriend.
it was weak.
in other news i took a test today for my Bus M 201 class and nailed it! 95%. Good job. that's what the screen said anyway. i'm pretty proud.
right now i'm listening to disney music. let me make an observation

also my wife is awesome. Prettier than ariel.

Hang outs
It's been a while since I last blogged. months? probably. I recently lost a bet with Bethany and so i lost the privilege to use facebook for a whole year. Well that is going to be rough to say the least, but i have willpower and am doing great so far. day 24. My goal for this blog is to keep in touch with friends and be able to take a look at my life. I hope i keep with it this time.
we were blurs on the court. JK, that's not us. haha
Since Bethany and I got married in july we have done a pretty good job at keeping in touch at hanging out with our friends. it was really easy for a while for me since i worked with scott and saw him everyday. Over the past couple of weeks though we haven't seen our friends as much as we used to so we decided to branch out a little bit.
Here's the thing about meeting married couples and hanging out with them. It's almost like dating all over again, except with more people. I mean one person has to get some courage to ask the other if they want to get together sometime and they have to say yes. Usually these two people are already friends, it's the spouses that you want to really befriend. So then you have to come up with a fun activity to lure them into your friendship trap, so that way the spouses will like each other and also your new friend. Then there are the first conversations and the occasional awkward moments, all hoping that this couple will like you enough to have a second hangout. This is the truth.
So with all of that in mind, Bethany and I went in search of some more friends that we might fill some spare time with people we like. At my job I work with this guy named Paul. He is fancy. well not really he just is super funny and likes really funny things, like hyperbole and a half and dinosaur comics, just like i do. So paul and I have worked together for about 3 weeks and we decided that it was probably best that we hangout in another venue besides the QA lab. We decided to play racquetball.
Saturday morning we went to the BYU courts and paul showed me what's up with racquetball and we played for like a half an hour. I was broken down after that. So we went and pumped some iron in the weight room and then went home.
later that evening Bethany and I went over to paul's apartment to meet his wife and play games. we had a blast.
that's them. His wife's name is Lauren. she's smart.

we also ate bread. after the hangout we recieved the complementary after hangout text confirming to me that there would indeed be more hangouts in the future. we have married friends!
so this is my new blog. this post was sort of boring. for reals. but it should be getting better soon! k bye!
